Annie's is ideally located just a few minutes walk from local parks and beaches, shopping areas, restaurants, great nightlife and local transport links. Free parking is available right outside Annie's and we are just a few minutes walk from the Tyne & Wear Metro (train), South Shields bus station and the South Shields ferry terminal. Arriving by bike? We are just a hundred yards from a National Cycle Route and we are happy to offer free on site overnight cycle and motorcycle parking.
Annie's offers clean, comfortable, quality accommodation at very competitive rates all year round. All our rooms are non-smoking, have double-glazed opening windows complete with black-out roller blinds, individual temperature controls, study desk with lamp, TV's with Freeview, free wireless internet, alarm clock, refreshments tray, hairdryer and big soft towels.
We serve a full English breakfast (freshly cooked to order) from 6.30am seven days a week and guests are offered the use of a fridge and microwave in Annie's dining room. Special diets (gluten/wheat-free, milk-free, Vegan, Vegetarian etc.) catered for by prior arrangement.
We offer a choice of single, double, twin, triple and family rooms - both en suite and using shared shower/bath/toilets.
South Shields itself is an ideal base to use while visiting the North East - the A1, A19 and Tyne Tunnel are all just a few minutes drive away making County Durham, Gateshead, Newcastle, North Shields, Northumberland, South Shields, Sunderland and Tynemouth quick and easy to get to. Don't worry about parking either as free parking is available right outside Annie's.
Not driving? No problem... as well as local bus services, South Shields is part of the frequent and rapid Tyne and Wear Metro (train) system, linking Gateshead, Newcastle, North Shields, South Shields, Sunderland and Tynemouth.
Annie's has a full fire certificate and our training includes first aid, food hygiene and fluent British Sign Language (BSL.)

Great North Run 2008
We've been inundated with requests for our Great North Run availability but please note that we will begin taking bookings from 1st September 2008 with priority given to those who want to stay Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. Please send us an email using the link at the top of the page if you'd like to register your interest in staying with us for the run and we will contact you with room availability and rates in September.
