Beamish Museum in Stanley, County Durham, is 15 miles south west of Annie's Guest House in South Shields.
Beamish, "The North of England Open Air Museum" is a working museum which recreates how the people of the North of England lived and worked in the early eighteen and nineteen hundreds.
Beamish is a 300 acre estate with a mixture of translocated, original and replica buildings, a huge collection of artifacts, working vehicles and equipment, costumed interpreters and livestock.
Beamish welcomes 350,000 visitors each year who visit it's town; railway station; colliery village and home farm.
