The Sunderland Aquatic Centre is a great place to visit if you are in the North East. It is the home of the only Olympic-sized swimming pool between Leeds and Edinburgh. It is also home to a large wellness centre which contains a multipurpose gym which includes weights, cross trainers and bikes.
Sunderland Aquatic Centre also offers many exercise classes including pilates, circuits and studio resistance that are suitable for people with all levels of ability. There is also a state of the art TechnoGym which is available for both adults and children over the age of 11.
The swimming pool at Sunderland Aquatic Centre is suitable for all ages. There are diving boards and designated lanes for swimming and aquafit classes so you won't be short of something to do once inside. Under 16's and over 60's can swim for free at designated times with a "Life Card" which can be obtained at the centre.
Our guest house is seven miles north of the Sunderland Aquatic Centre. Travel time by car to/from the centre is approximately 15 minutes via the A183 Coast Road or A1018 Newcastle Road.
If you are travelling to the Sunderland Aquatic Centre from our bed and breakfast accommodation by Metro then the nearest Metro Station is Stadium of Light on the green line.
