Sunderland Empire Theatre is a 1,860 seat theatre located on High Street West in Sunderland. The theatre was opened in 1907 and is one of the largest theatre venues in the North East. It regularly hosts large-scale musicals, opera, dance showcases and ballet productions. The Birmingham Royal Ballet are regular visitors.

Public transport from us to the theatre is excellent. You can catch a bus from the bottom of our street that takes you to Sunderland city centre in 20 minutes. more information about this bus route can be found here.
