Advertised on Facebook earlier today is their Friends & Family discount offering 20% off womenswear, menswear, handbags, accessories, childrenswear, homeware and Christmas gifts; 15% off beauty and 10% off TV’s electricals, prams and toys. Fenwick’s department store on Northumberland Street, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE99 1AR boasts ten eateries across it’s five floors.

On the lower ground floor you can find the Patio restaurant, renowned for its fish and chips, cheese scones and bustling atmosphere and Caffé Nero serving premium Italian coffee with pastries to match. On the ground floor is Yo! Sushi – freshly prepared Japanese dishes ready to be picked from the ‘kaiten’ conveyor belt and Pret a Manger sandwich shop.

On the first floor is Café 21 a stylish bistro serving classic comfort food, great for a quick croque monsieur or a slow spicy Thai green curry; Johann’s a continental cafe/patisserie with fresh flowers at every table and delectable home made pastries and savouries; Majorca serving fresh sandwiches, jacket potatoes, soups and light snacks and Tivoli restaurant which combined table service, gourmet food a spectacular view of (Earl) Grey’s monument at the top of Grey Street.

Newcastle Gateshead Sightseeing Bus

City Sightseeing runs a Newcastle Gateshead open top double-decker bus tour which will run from Sunday 24th March until Saturday 14th December 2013. The tour is hop on and hop off so one ticket is valid all day and costs £8 for adults and £4 for children.
