If you are one of the many guests staying with us next week attending the Bruce Springsteen gig at the Stadium of Light<\/u><\/a>, Millennium Way<\/u><\/a>, Sunderland<\/u><\/a>, SR5 1SU then you might be interested in the following official ‘All You Need To Know’ information about the gig.<\/p>\n

How To Get To And From The Concert<\/b>
\nThe Stadium of Light<\/u><\/a> is easily accessible by road and public transport<\/u><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The venue is served by two Tyne & Wear Metro<\/u><\/a> stations and there is ample parking in the city centre, from which it is just a short walk to the stadium.<\/p>\n

By Road<\/b>
\nIf travelling from NORTH of the stadium…<\/p>\n

From the A19<\/u><\/a> follow signs for A1231 Sunderland, then yellow signs for Park & Walk.<\/p>\n

If travelling from SOUTH of the stadium…<\/p>\n

From the A19<\/u><\/a> follow signs for A1018 Sunderland then signs for Park & Walk and use city centre car parks.<\/p>\n

Metro Services<\/b>
\nConcert goers with purple, red or yellow entry tickets should alight at Stadium of Light Metro Station<\/u><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Concert goers with blue, orange, platinum, green and accessible (pink) entry tickets should alight at St Peter’s Metro Station<\/u><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Metro will run an extended service after the concert with trains departing from Stadium of Light Metro Station<\/u><\/a> and St Peter’s Metro Station<\/u><\/a> only.<\/p>\n

You should join queues at either station immediately after the concert to be sure of getting your train home.<\/p>\n

Both queues move at the same speed.<\/p>\n

Drop Off & Pick Up<\/b>
\nThe designated drop off and pick up points are Dame Dorothy Street<\/u><\/a> (approximately 0.5 mile walk).<\/p>\n

Taxis<\/b>
\nPre event drop off point is Monk Street.<\/p>\n

Post event all collections will be in the city centre.<\/p>\n

Parking<\/b>
\nThere is no public parking available at the Stadium of Light, with parking immediately around the venue also extremely restricted.<\/p>\n

Residential streets in the vicinity of the Stadium are also subject to parking permit restrictions.<\/p>\n

Roads immediately surrounding the stadium will be closed to all traffic on the day and there are no vehicle pick up or drop off areas on or near the stadium.<\/p>\n

There is a park and walk in operation – Sunderland Enterprise Park<\/u><\/a>, no pre booking required.<\/p>\n

Site Plan & Entry<\/b>
\nThere several different entry points to the stadium.<\/p>\n

Your ticket will have a colour coded entry point on it which corresponds with your designated entry gate.<\/p>\n

Food & Drink<\/b>
\nThere will be an extensive range of food and drink available to purchase both in the courtyard and stadium itself.<\/p>\n

Concert goers are not permitted to bring their own food and drink in the stadium.<\/p>\n

Challenge 25 protocols will be in operation.<\/p>\n

Please bring proof of ID to show you are over 18 in order to purchase alcohol.<\/p>\n

Restricted Bag Policy<\/b>
\nAll ticket holders will be prohibited from bringing any bag into the stadium unless it adheres to the regulations outlined below.<\/p>\n

Any bags not adhering to these restrictions will be refused entry.<\/p>\n

All items and bags carried by attendees will be inspected upon entry.<\/p>\n

BAG TO BE NO LARGER THAN A4.<\/p>\n

Prohibited Items<\/b>
\nPlease do not bring any of the following with you as you will not be allowed to enter the site if any of these items are found in your possession… alcohol, bottles, cans, cameras (DSLR\/SLR) with detachable lens, chairs, flags with poles, flares \/ distress flares \/ smoke flares, food, glass, knives, liquids (over 100ml), illegal substances (drugs), laser pens, megaphones, professional audio-visual recording equipment, pushchairs\/prams, selfie sticks, smoke bombs \/ canisters, large umbrellas (small telescopic umbrellas are permitted), weapons.<\/p>\n
