title=\"Sunderland's Adopted Warship HMS Ocean\"><\/center><\/p>\n<p>HMS Ocean and her crew were granted Freedom of the City of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anniesguesthouse.co.uk\/blog\/tag\/sunderland-tyne-and-wear\/\" title=\"Sunderland\" alt=\"Sunderland\"><u>Sunderland<\/u><\/a> in 2004 and she last visited the city in 2012.<\/p>\n<p>If you are staying with us this weekend and would like to go and see HMS Ocean in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anniesguesthouse.co.uk\/blog\/tag\/sunderland-tyne-and-wear\/\" title=\"Sunderland\" alt=\"Sunderland\"><u>Sunderland<\/u><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anniesguesthouse.co.uk\/blog\/tag\/corporation-quay-sunderland\/\" title=\"Corporation Quay Sunderland SR1 2EB\" alt=\"Corporation Quay Sunderland SR1 2EB\"><u>Corporation Quay<\/u><\/a> is 15-20 minutes drive from our bed and breakfast accommodation.<\/p>\n<p>HMS Ocean is due to arrive at the mouth of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anniesguesthouse.co.uk\/blog\/tag\/river-wear\/\" alt=\"River Wear\" title=\"River Wear\"><u>River Wear<\/u><\/a> at approximately 2:30pm and is due to berth at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anniesguesthouse.co.uk\/blog\/tag\/corporation-quay-sunderland\/\" title=\"Corporation Quay Sunderland SR1 2EB\" alt=\"Corporation Quay Sunderland SR1 2EB\"><u>Corporation Quay<\/u><\/a> opposite the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anniesguesthouse.co.uk\/blog\/tag\/national-glass-centre\/\" alt=\"National Glass Centre Liberty Way Roker Sunderland SR6 0GL\" title=\"National Glass Centre Liberty Way Roker Sunderland SR6 0GL\"><u>National Glass Centre<\/u><\/a> in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anniesguesthouse.co.uk\/blog\/tag\/sunderland-tyne-and-wear\/\" title=\"Sunderland\" alt=\"Sunderland\"><u>Sunderland<\/u><\/a> at approximately 3pm on Friday 1st May 2015 for her eighth visit to the city.<\/p>\n<p>A 300 person freedom parade is due to set off from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anniesguesthouse.co.uk\/blog\/tag\/burdon-road-sunderland-sr1\/\" alt=\"Burdon Road Sunderland SR1\" title=\"Burdon Road Sunderland SR11\"><u>Burdon Road<\/u><\/a> in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anniesguesthouse.co.uk\/blog\/tag\/sunderland-tyne-and-wear\/\" title=\"Sunderland\" alt=\"Sunderland\"><u>Sunderland<\/u><\/a> at 11am on Saturday 2nd May with a service at the War Memorial before the parade commences.<\/p>\n<p>The parade will then proceed to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anniesguesthouse.co.uk\/blog\/tag\/fawcett-street-sunderland-sr1\/\" title=\"Fawcett Street Sunderland SR1\" alt=\"Fawcett Street Sunderland SR1\"><u>Fawcett Street<\/u><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anniesguesthouse.co.uk\/blog\/tag\/high-street-west-sunderland-sr1\/\" alt=\"High Street West Sunderland SR1\" title=\"High Street West Sunderland SR1\"><u>High Street West<\/u><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anniesguesthouse.co.uk\/blog\/tag\/market-square-sunderland-sr1\/\" title=\"Market Square Sunderland SR1\" alt=\"Market Square Sunderland SR1\"><u>Market Square<\/u><\/a> before returning to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anniesguesthouse.co.uk\/blog\/tag\/burdon-road-sunderland-sr1\/\" alt=\"Burdon Road Sunderland SR1\" title=\"Burdon Road Sunderland SR11\"><u>Burdon Road<\/u><\/a> past the War
