Summer river trips on the River Tyne<\/u><\/a> start next month, running from June to October 2015.<\/p>\n

There are many different trips to choose from and are a unique way to view some of the historic sights along the banks of the River Tyne<\/u><\/a> and to see the modern new developments taking shape along the river.<\/p>\n

The three hour river trips sail between South Shields<\/u><\/a> and Newcastle upon Tyne<\/u><\/a>, as far as Newcastle and Gateshead Quayside<\/u><\/a>s where you will get to see and sail under Gateshead<\/u><\/a>\u2019s iconic Gateshead Millennium Bridge<\/u><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The two hour river trips let you take in the monumental landmarks of the surrounding local areas of North Shields<\/u><\/a> and South Shields<\/u><\/a> and sail out towards the piers at the mouth of the River Tyne<\/u><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Entertainment is provided on many of the river trips with something to suit all the family from live river commentaries, sing-a-longs to fish & chip trips – all of which are regular features of their scheduled summer programme of events.<\/p>\n

A variety of children’s entertainment also runs throughout the school summer holidays.<\/p>\n

New for 2015 there is ‘live music and entertainment’ with some great bands to suit all tastes, guaranteed to liven up your weekends!<\/p>\n
