Marine and Offshore Safety Training Centre (MOST)’s primary purpose is the delivery of practical safety and emergency preparedness training tailored to the maritime and offshore sectors.

Typical learners at Marine and Offshore Safety Training Centre (MOST) include merchant navy cadets, ratings, offshore wind and energy personnel, contractors who work offshore and any maritime or offshore workforce members who require industry-standard safety qualifications and refresher training.

Popular courses at the Wapping Street training centre include Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET) and refresher variants, further offshore emergency training, combined survival and firefighting courses, advanced firefighting, and other OPITO-aligned and maritime safety modules tailored to the offshore and renewables sectors. These short programmes are intended to meet the training requirements set by employers and by sector accreditation bodies, enabling delegates to work offshore or to maintain statutory/contractual safety certifications.
