Magic Rugby Weekend was first held at St James’ Park in 2015. More than 68,000 fans attended in 2016 across the weekend – the highest recorded attendance for the two-day event.
Next years Magic Rugby Weekend features three rugby league matches on Saturday 3rd June and three on Sunday 4th June 2023.

2:45pm – St Helens vs Huddersfield Giants
5pm – Hull FC vs Warrington Wolves
The date of the Great North Run 2023 has been confirmed as Sunday 10th September 2023.
We are the closest guest house bed and breakfast accommodation to the finish of the Great North Run in South Shields.
