On Friday 14th March Hybrids will be performing (AC/DC, Paul Weller, The Faces, Led Zeppelin, Guns ‘N’ Roses and Red Hot Chilli Peppers tribute band).

On Friday 21st March Alan Knights will be performing. If you haven’t seen him before Alan is a joke-telling, axe-wielding rock legend.

On Friday 28th March Howie B will be performing a tribute to Lindisfarne, Journey, Free, Roxy Music, The Beatles and The Kinks.

Haven Point Leisure Centre

The new swimming pool and leisure centre complex Haven Point on Pier Parade, South Shields, NE33 2JS is now confirmed to be opening in October.

The photograph above shows Haven Point swimming pool and leisure centre complex complex under construction with Beach Road, South Marine Park and Seafield Terrace in the background.

Haven Point leisure centre will contain a 25-metre competition pool, an 18-metre learner pool – both with adjustable floors.

The learner pool will also include leisure areas including flumes, sprays, bubble pools and water play.

Also inside will be a sauna and steam room, gym, two dance studios, a rooftop gallery/terrace and an amphitheatre.
