JATCO UK Limited’s new Sunderland factory will be their fourth overseas production facility, complementing existing plants in Mexico, China, and Thailand.

JATCO UK Limited’s new Sunderland factory spans 138,840 square feet and represents an investment of £48.7 million.

JATCO UK Limited’s primary focus will be the production of the innovative 3-in-1 electric vehicle powertrain, which integrates the motor, inverter and reducer into a compact and lightweight unit. This design enhances the efficiency and performance of electric vehicles.

The powertrains produced at JATCO UK Limited’s Sunderland factory will be supplied to the nearby Nissan Motor Manufacturing UK.

JATCO UK Limited anticipates reaching a production capacity of 340,000 units annually from the new Sunderland factory.

JATCO UK Limited’s neighbours on the International Advanced Manufacturing Park (IAMP) include Envision AESC Sunderland, SNOP UK Limited, a French automotive parts manufacturer specializing in metal stamping and assembly and Faltec Europe Limited a company that produces exterior automotive components.
