Kuzey Turkish Restaurant is a new Turkish and Mediterranean restaurant due to open at 168 Ocean Road, South Shields, NE33 2JQ.
Sadly the new restaurant can’t open yet due to the COVID-19 pandemic but Kuzey Turkish Restaurant have launched their takeaway menu.
Kuzey Turkish Restaurant takeaway menu is as follows…
COLD STARTERS
1. HUMUS £2.95 (v)
Chickpeas, blended with tahini paste, fresh garlic, lemon and olive oil.
2. CACIK £3.00 (v)
Cucumber dip with creamy yogurt garlic and fresh dill, mint and olive oil.
3. KISIR £3.50 (v)
Bulgur wheat with crushed walnuts, spring onions, peppers, celery, tomato, parsley, dill an dressed with a pomegranate sauce.
4. SAKSUKA £3.50 (v)
Fried aubergine, potatoes, red and green peppers, fried in a tomato sauce.
HOT STARTERS
5. FALAFEL £3.95 (v)
Deep fried hand rolled croquettes of crushed chickpeas, red peppers, green pepper celery tossed with fresh herbs and served on humus.
6. MUSKA BOREGI £4.00 (v)
Deep fried filo pastry rolls filled with feta cheese, parsley and herbs.
7. HALLOUMI £4.25 (v)
Grilled halloumi cheese.
8. CIGER KAVURMA £4.25
Pan fried Lambs Liver served with an onion salad.
9.GARLIC MUSHROOM £3.95 (v)
Pan fried mushrooms with lots of garlic cooked in tomato sauce.

Homemade Turkish bread with lashings of garlic butter.

A mix of char-grilled marinated cubes of chicken and lamb served with rice, house salad, and homemade Turkish bread.

Char-grilled seasoned tender lamb ribs served with rice, house salad, and homemade Turkish bread.
16. MIXED GRILL £12.95
A selection of marinated char-grilled cubes of lamb and chicken, Adana kebab and lamb chops served with rice, house salad, and homemade Turkish bread.
17. ISKENDER KEBAB £8.50
A choice of Adana kebab, chicken or lamb shish on a bed of toasted bread with garlic yogurt, tomato sauce and and a drizzle of butter. (£1 extra for lamb).
18. PIRZOLA (Lamb Chops) £12.50
Char-grilled tender lamb chops lightly flavoured with herbs. Served with rice, salad, and bread.

Oven baked layers of minced lamb, aubergine, courgette, carrots, topped with creamy bechamel sauce and cheese.
