Our South Shields accommodation is centrally located on Beach Road, half way between South Shields Town Hall (shown below, on the corner of Beach Road and Westoe Road) and the sea front.

If driving to South Shields follow the A194 East until you reach South Shields Town Hall (the end of the A194).

Take the left lane at the traffic lights then immediately take the right hand lane as you pass through the traffic lights and enter Beach Road.

Our accommodation is half way along on the right-hand side at number 106.

A new drive thru Starbucks coffee shop has opened on Newcastle Road, Simonside, South Shields, NE34 9QE.

The new drive thru Starbucks coffee shop is located on the West-bound side of A194 Newcastle Road adjacent to the Simonside Esso petrol station and the Vic Young garage so it is an ideal spot for drivers to get their coffee fix.

The new Simonside Starbucks opens this Thursday 28th January 2016 at 9am closing at 8pm.

Simonside Starbucks’s normal opening hours will be 6am until 9pm Monday to Friday; 7am until 9pm on Saturdays then 8am until 9pm on Sundays.

If you are staying with us over the first few days of their opening there is a special offer available.

Simply present the voucher below (either a printed copy or on your phone screen) to receive a free tall drink.

The voucher is valid from Thursday 28th January until Sunday 31st January 2016 inclusive.

Premier Inn South Shields Port of Tyne is opposite the Jennings Ford car dealership where the “Premier Inn” label is.

If you are travelling from West to East along Newcastle Road after you pass Simonside East Industrial Park you will reach Premier Inn South Shields Port of Tyne and their Taybarns restaurant on Hobson Way then the Jennings Ford car dealership.

The roundabout after the Ford garage connects the A185 Jarrow Road to the A194 Newcastle Road.

If you reach Port of Tyne you have gone too far.

If you are travelling from East to West from South Shields town centre you will pass Port of Tyne on the right then the Esso petrol station just before the Starbucks drive thru.

Tyne & Wear Metro 2016 Price Changes

From Saturday 2nd January 2016 Tyne & Wear Metro ticket prices will be as follows…

A one-zone DaySaver ticket will rise from £2.70 to £2.80.
A two-zone DaySaver ticket will rise from £3.70 to £3.90.
A three zone DaySaver ticket will rise from £4.60 to £4.80.
