Ocean Beach Pleasure Park on Sea Road, South Shields, NE33 2LD has a special offer available at the moment for their newest ride – the Urban Wave surfing simulator.
A one-hour session for £20 at Ocean Beach Pleasure Park (50% Off).
The Urban Wave is suitable for all ability levels and the £20 deal can be split between up to four people – 60 minutes for one person, 30 minutes for two people, 20 minutes for three people or 15 minutes each for four people.
There is also 10% off food and drink at Main Street Diner.
The 2013 season opens this weekend for the half-term holiday, 16th – 24th February, open 12 noon until 5pm daily.
Besides the new Urban Wave they have over 40 rides and attractions ranging from Mini Teacups and Mini Swings (for very little ones) to the Waltzer, Go Karts and Scream for the older and more daring.
There are also the obligatory amusement arcades and their popular Quasar arena.
Ocean Beach Pleasure Park is free to go in and walk around and it is dog-friendly – but not on the rides of course.

What rides are there at the park?
Thrillseekers can head towards the air diver, waltzer and pirate ship, while tea cups, helter skelter and bungee trampolines await little ones and the less faint-hearted.
What is the Urban Wave attraction?
The Urban Wave simulates surfing, wake-boarding, body-boarding and snowboarding. The rotating platform of soft brushes enables beginners to learn the basics of stance and balance while more experienced surfers can work on tricks.
Are there places to eat around the park?
Visitors can fill up on a variety of fare including chicken fajitas, burgers and chips, as well as sweeter treats like hot doughnuts, candy floss and Slush Puppies.
